The Story of Roshpack.com

At the age of 16, seeing the flourishing e-commerce market in Pakistan, I saw an opportunity to develop an e-commerce website for one of the largest packaging companies in the country, Roshan Packages Limited which would assist them in growing there business to consumer sales thus Roshpack.com was founded.

My main aim was to target customers who wanted corrugated boxes but in small quantities. Previously the company had set the minimum order quantity to at least 1000 boxes not entertaining customers who wanted corrugated boxes in smaller quantities, forcing them to buy low quality boxes from local factories. To overcome this problem, I devised an online store where the company sold a minimum of 50 boxes.

However, given that the staff was only trained to deal with larger quantities, they were offered additional training to get used to the change in the company’s policy.

The idea was well received in the industry and the company was the first one to launch an ecommerce website in the field of packaging in Pakistan.

As the Co Founder, one of my main responsibility was to build a team who understood the industry challenges from the manufacturing side and the customers side. I hired, built, trained, and managed a team of 25, including an e-Commerce Manager, Sales Lead, Digital Marketing Lead, and SEO Lead.

  • Led market research, website development and finalized the design by identifying and integrating website/app changes.

  • Ensured team was motivated and enthusiastic about achieving set KPIs by establishing an efficient commission and incentive system and delegating tasks appropriately.

  • Built and fostered long-term and trusting customer relations by setting and executing strategic plans.

  • Supervised key account operations, including Pizza Hut and local food companies, by approving pricing and delivery schedules, ensuring customer satisfaction, timely deliveries, and repeat business.

  • Drove improvements in customer service by maintaining communication with customers and leveraging their feedback.

  • Identified opportunities to increase business with customers by conducting an in-depth analysis of each customer and developing customized solutions per customer possibilities.
